MTR Corporation takes the leading role in Metro Trains Sydney Pty. Limited to operate the SMNW line which commenced service from May 2019.
MTR partnered with Vestra for design and fitout of their new Sydney office space in Clarence St. With a key focus on budget and therefore reuse of the existing fitout, Vestra discussed the options with MTR as to budget versus needs and offered a balanced solution to suit both. The key criteria identified included use of natural light, storage, meeting space and collaboration areas.
Frugal reuse of existing furniture and new supply of workstations kept the project below budget and with a tight timeframe, these works were completed over the Christmas shutdown of 2 weeks. Ongoing churn works for MTR have been actioned after completion when their needs evolved for the use of the workspace.
I was amazed at the response time on planning stages and then the organisation and timing during the fitout works also exceeded our expectations
